Senior Backend Engineer

About the company Our client is a fast-growing real estate company. The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Design and build dependable, scalable backend services and APIs for a software platform. Partner with frontend, design and product colleagues on fast-moving challenges that must hold up at scale. Suited to an engineer who writes clean, readable code and enjoys performance work. What you'll do

• Create dependable application interfaces and server-side services that scale well.
• Write clean, minimal code that others can easily follow.
• Partner with frontend, design and product colleagues on shared features.
• Tackle hard scaling challenges as they come up.
• Work through core business problems the software must solve.

Requirements

What we're looking for

• Solid command of data structures and algorithms.
• Track record of debugging, problem solving and removing performance bottlenecks.
• Hands-on backend experience with Java on AWS.
• Experience working at a fast-paced, high-growth startup.
• Willingness to work alongside intelligence-assisted coding tools in everyday engineering.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to contribute quickly.
• Located in a U.S. time zone (Pacific, Mountain, Central or Eastern). Bonus points
• Experience writing concurrent code for multi-core servers.
• Self-taught engineers are welcome.
• Interest in the real estate industry.
