Senior AI Engineer

About the company Our client is a fintech company. The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Design and build production AI services for business and consumer users, owning features from early design through deployment, with attention to user experience, evaluation and safeguards. What you'll do

• Build capable, polished AI-driven experiences for consumer and business users.
• Partner with product, design and engineering colleagues to ship high-impact AI features with suitable guardrails.
• Take AI features through the full cycle, from initial concept and system design to implementation and release.
• Help set and refine engineering practices for AI-assisted software development to raise delivery speed without lowering quality.

Requirements

What we're looking for

• Deep hands-on experience building AI agent experiences for customers, including monitoring, safeguards and evaluation.
• Background building high-performance, complex web applications with modern frameworks.
• Current working knowledge of AI agent systems, libraries and emerging best practices.
• At least two years average tenure in recent roles.
• Experience at fast-paced high-growth startups.
• Experience in payments engineering, such as payouts, ledgers or cross-border transactions.
• Experience building and shipping AI agents or tool-using language model systems in production.
• Experience building retrieval-augmented generation pipelines or harnesses.
• Hands-on record of delivering AI-driven software and interfaces that reach real users. Bonus points
• Computer science or equivalent technical degree from a leading U.S. university.
• Background at a large technology company, including a move to a startup or a strong track record on a high-performing team there.
• Daily use of AI coding tools.
• Understanding of reliable and scalable infrastructure.
