Front End Software Engineer

About the company Our client is a software company. The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Build, integrate and deploy full-stack software for mission-focused systems that coordinate autonomous platforms, working closely with specialists in sensing, AI and robotics. The role spans user interfaces, back-end services and the deployment work needed to run them in production across cloud and on-premises environments. What you'll do

• Build, test, integrate and deploy critical full-stack software for controlling multi-modal autonomous systems.
• Connect the system to a data platform and to AI, sensor fusion and robotic control components.
• Resolve practical problems in deployment, integration, security and user experience across cloud, on-premises and hybrid setups.
• Work with multidisciplinary engineers in sensing, AI, systems engineering, user experience and robotics to deliver well integrated solutions.

Requirements

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of professional software development experience, including user-facing full-stack systems.
• 2+ years integrating and deploying software to cloud, on-premises or hybrid environments.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Rust or Java.
• Extensive experience with React and TypeScript.
• Solid working knowledge of integration, deployment, CI and automation tools, APIs, networking, security, authentication and Linux.
• A university degree in a technical discipline, or substantial practical experience that can stand in for one.
• A track record of keeping live software reliable once it reaches users.
• Ability to manage complexity, take initiative and think clearly under pressure.
• Eligible and willing to obtain a US security clearance.
• Strong alignment with defense-related work.

Bonus points

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with real-time data streaming or 3D rendering frameworks.
• Experience building user interfaces for AI or generative models.
