Original job description

About the company Our client is a small software company. The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the product direction for a creative software platform, from early ideas through to finished outputs. This is a hands-on founding role in which you set priorities, shape the long-term roadmap and work closely with engineers and users. You will also build the product function itself as the team grows. What you'll do

  • Define and own the product roadmap for a creative software platform, from early ideation through to 3D outputs and planned future capabilities.
  • Set priorities and long-term product strategy rather than building isolated features.
  • Work with engineers day to day on delivery, check-in points and technical trade-offs.
  • Meet with professional users and institutional customers to learn their workflows and decide what the product should become.
  • Research competing tools and the wider AI market, then bring insights and new ideas to the team.
  • Recruit and grow a product team as the company expands, working directly with the chief executive.

Requirements

What we're looking for

  • Five-plus years in product roles, with exposure to several employers rather than a single organization.
  • A track record of building products from zero to one and helping them scale at startups.
  • Hands-on experience with AI and retrieval-augmented generation systems.
  • Comfort taking on a wide range of tasks in a fast-moving environment and building a function from scratch.
  • Ability to communicate well with engineers and handle engineering pushback. Bonus points
  • Experience in architecture, engineering and construction or adjacent design technology.
  • Experience leading or heading a product team.
  • Experience in construction scheduling.
