Backend Software Engineer

About the company Our client is a fast-growing technology company. The role Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Develop and maintain server-side services, APIs and data workflows for a multi-product software platform. Collaborate with research and engineering colleagues to keep infrastructure reliable as usage grows, taking projects from early concept to live production. What you'll do

• Develop dependable server-side services and data workflows that support several products.
• Plan infrastructure that stays efficient as usage expands.
• Contribute across external-facing, research-facing and internal tooling applications.
• Work with research colleagues to refine the systems that gather their data.
• Maintain APIs and services relied on by a large daily user population.

Requirements

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years of backend engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
• Background in a fast-moving startup rather than solely large, established organizations.
• History of taking new initiatives from nothing to launch and showing clear business results.
• Hands-on experience operating data-heavy services in a live environment.
• A computer science degree from a strong program, or equivalent experience. Bonus points
• Domain experience in audio, machine learning or data infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Node.js, PostgreSQL or AWS.
