Utility Designer

Join Our Client as an Utility Designer in a premier energy leader providing clean, reliable power and endless growth opportunities! Requires High school diploma, 1+ yr experience, and AutoCAD required.

location: Winnemucca, Nevada job type: Contract salary: $65.21 - 79.71 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

• Perform design work, cost estimates, and financial contracts for electric and gas new construction, expansion, and system improvements.
• Serve as the central liaison between internal teams, developers, contractors, engineering firms, and local agencies.
• Maintain working knowledge of standards, tariffs, and regulations to deliver cost-effective designs and accurate contracts.
• Lead pre-construction meetings with inspectors, foremen, and service managers to ensure smooth project execution.
• Participate in after-hours rotational on-call supervisor duties and assist with storm restoration activities when required.

qualifications:

High School Diploma with at least 1 year of related work experience and proficiency in AutoCAD software.

Demonstrated knowledge of electric and gas design, operating practices, construction standards, and governing regulations.

Strong analytical, planning, time management, decision-making, project management, and interpersonal communication skills.
