Structural Engineer

job summary:

We are searching for a Structural Engineer to work for an engineering consulting company that supports a variety of energy and industrial projects, including oil and gas, power generation and utilities.

This is a long-term contract position that could lead to a direct hire role.

This role has a hybrid work schedule, and candidates can work in either Pittsburg, PA; Houston, TX; Omaha, NE; or Duluth, MN.

responsibilities:

• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
• Layout and detail entire or portions of projects under the supervision of the Engineer of Record
• Provide CAD drawings or sketches to incorporate in drawings by Designers/Drafters
• Research design options and document findings for Engineer of Record
• Review shop drawings

qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited university

2+ years' experience as a structural engineer

Experience with structural steel and concrete

EIT preferred
