Client is seeking a Software Developer to advance the automation, integrations, and software capabilities supporting our Cybersecurity team. In this role, you will help secure company products and enterprise operations by owning existing tool integrations, maintaining web applications and reporting dashboards, and driving next-generation agentic cyber automation. Working in a collaborative, human-led engineering culture, you will use spec-driven development and modern cloud technologies to solve complex security workflow challenges.

responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own, maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot cybersecurity automations, web applications, dashboards, and tool integrations.
• Write clean, efficient Node.js code utilizing Azure Functions and event-driven Azure cloud architectures.
• Integrate security and engineering tools (such as Wiz, Blackduck, Jira, and Azure DevOps) via APIs to normalize data and automate ticketing workflows.
• Implement responsible, human-in-the-loop agentic coding practices by breaking down tasks, setting context, and verifying AI-generated contributions with thorough testing and security checks.
• Build actionable reporting dashboards that deliver clear metrics on enterprise cybersecurity posture.
• Partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to capture requirements, define technical specifications, and establish acceptance criteria prior to implementation.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, align automation backlogs, and continuously refine CI/CD and deployment workflows.

qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Professional software engineering experience developing applications, integrating APIs, and building on cloud platforms.

Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and production code.

Strong working knowledge of spec-driven development, acceptance criteria definition, and test-driven validation.

Practical understanding of human-led AI collaboration and agentic coding principles (scoping bounded tasks, human review checkpoints, and validating outputs).

Solid foundation in secure software development, version control, automated testing, and secure credential handling.

Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and experience independently owning and refining an existing codebase.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong documentation habits.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong proficiency in Node.js and experience working with MongoDB.

Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, specifically Azure Functions, Azure Queues, and Microsoft Entra ID.

Experience integrating with security and developer tools via APIs (e.g., Wiz, Blackduck, Microsoft Graph, Jira, Azure DevOps).

Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD automation practices.

Background in developing cybersecurity automations or security metrics visualization tools.
