responsibilities:

Manage a large-scale environment consisting of approximately 1000 bare-metal hosts across multiple clusters.

Build, maintain, and ensure the operational health of an on-premises cloud infrastructure.

Perform vital system administration tasks including operating system patching, vulnerability management, and routine system maintenance.

Investigate and resolve complex platform alerts by analyzing dense log files and debugging issues independently.

Troubleshoot user and platform problems while meticulously documenting the problem-solving steps.

Support tier-3 operations and participate in a scheduled on-call rotation to maintain highly available services.

qualifications:

5 or more years of relevant industry experience with a strong traditional system administration and operations background. Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive experience administering Linux operating systems in a large-scale production environment. Proficiency in scripting and automation utilizing tools like Bash, Python, and Ansible. Familiarity with standard development processes and tools such as Git, Github, Jira, and Jenkins. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to remote team members clearly.
