Job Title: Sit-Down Forklift Operator / Order Picker

Location: Westbury, NY

Pay Rate: $19.00 / hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Type: Full-Time, Day Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Sit-Down Forklift Operator / Order Picker to join our warehouse team in Westbury. In this role, you will be responsible for operating sit-down forklifts, picking customer orders, loading and unloading shipments, and maintaining an organized inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe operation of sit-down forklifts to transport, stack, and retrieve materials throughout the warehouse.
• Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders according to pick tickets and inventory lists.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight trucks.
• Perform physical inventory counts and report discrepancies to management.
• Inspect equipment daily for safety and maintenance standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Pre-Employment Screening: Must successfully pass a background check and drug test.
• Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse setting operating sit-down forklifts and picking orders.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and bend for the duration of a shift.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in reading SKU numbers, pick lists, and shipping labels.
