Original job description
We are a well-established, global marketing and distribution enterprise specializing in industrial inputs, crop nutrients, and agricultural supply chain solutions. We are currently seeking a hands-on Treasury Manager to serve as our senior Subject Matter Expert (SME) and take full day-to-day execution ownership of our core global treasury operations.
Reporting directly to the Head of Treasury, you will act as a pivotal individual contributor, driving the daily cadence of our treasury function. This role optimizes global liquidity, complex foreign exchange (FX) hedging, structured trade finance, customer credit risk, and corporate insurance across our international supply chain. While this position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, you will partner deeply with cross-functional and operational teams worldwide to ensure financial agility and risk mitigation.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop short- and long-term (13-week and long-range) cash flow forecasting models while overseeing global banking structures, cross-border ZBAs, cash pooling, and international sweeps.
- Monitor multi-currency exposures and execute strategic hedging transactions (spots, forwards, derivatives) across global corridors to protect the balance sheet, consistently reporting on hedge effectiveness.
- Lead the negotiation and execution of Import/Export Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby LCs, and Bank Guarantees. Partner with commercial banks, logistics, and legal teams to align trade credit lines with commercial shipping schedules.
- Mitigate counterparty risk by evaluating customer financial health, establishing credit limits, and managing trade credit insurance policies.
- Oversee claims processing and direct annual renewals across key corporate policies, including Marine Cargo, Transit, Property/Casualty, D&O, and Cyber.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CTP, CFA, or MBA preferred.
- 6+ years of progressive treasury operations experience within an international trading, raw materials, agriculture, bulk commodity, or global distribution enterprise.
- Deep, hands-on background with international Letters of Credit (Documentary LCs, SBLCs), trade documentation (Bills of Lading), and cross-border FX risk management and derivative execution.
- Proactive self-starter skilled at managing high-volume international cash flows and navigating complex financial risks in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM education: Bachelors
