In this Patient Scheduling Specialist role, you will serve as a vital link between patients, physicians, and clinical departments. Working in a supportive and fast-paced healthcare environment, you will interview patients, schedule diagnostic procedures and appointments, verify insurance eligibility, secure authorizations, and provide clear preparation instructions. The ideal candidate brings prior healthcare registration or billing experience, proficiency with ICD-10 coding and medical terminology, and a compassionate, patient-first approach to service. Responsibilities: • Schedule patient appointments and complete pre-registration interviews, capturing accurate demographic and financial details. • Verify insurance eligibility, covered benefits, and medical necessity while securing required authorizations. • Enter and review ICD-10 diagnostic codes to support compliance and accurate billing. • Transcribe verbal orders from physician offices and provide patients with exam prep instructions. • Calculate service estimates, explain financial responsibilities, and collect point-of-service copays and deductibles. Qualifications & Skills: • Associate degree in healthcare billing, accounting, or business with 1+ year of healthcare scheduling/registration experience; OR High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of healthcare scheduling, billing, and registration experience. • Experience in insurance verification, prior authorizations, and ICD-10 coding. • computer proficiency, typing, and word processing skills. • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service abilities. • Ability to pass standard medical terminology and analytical assessments.

salary: $24.88 - $24.89 per hour shift: First work hours: 8:30 AM - 5 PM education: High School
