Sand Blasting

We are hiring a Sandblaster for a position we have available in Fresno. Below are the details for the role:

• Position: Sandblaster (Temp-to-Hire)
• Shift: Swing shift, Monday – Thursday, 3:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.
• Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Responsibilities

Mask all surfaces that are not required to be blasted using proper masking tapes, thread caps or plugs.

• Shovel or pour abrasives such as grit or shot of specific grade into hopper chute to maintain proper materials.
• Maintain the proper air pressure on the pressure pots.
• Maintain the correct metering valve to maintain the proper profile on the blast.
• Check blasted materials profile and maintain proper log. Adjust as needed on the metering valve or air pressure.
• Load parts and prepare for sand blast. Make sure parts are secured and can easily be blasted.
• Check the helmet and CO2 monitor to ensure that fresh breathable air is going through the helmet.
• Ensure all proper PPE and safety standards and regulations are adhered to.
• Clean the dust collector cabinet on weekly basis or as needed and secure the waste in the proper waste drums.
• Check air flow on monthly basis to ensure the Dust Collectors are working correctly.
• Check all equipment on daily basis to ensure proper operations.

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 25lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
