Growing company in the Ithaca, NY area is seeking a Route Delivery Driver (CDL-B or Driver Trainee) for a full-time, first-shift opportunity. This position features a set, local schedule with standard daytime business hours. Candidates currently holding a valid CDL Class B license and a Hazmat endorsement are preferred, but the company is fully willing to train and sponsor motivated candidates seeking to earn their CDL-B or Hazmat certification with all testing and licensing fees paid. A reliable work ethic, a customer-service mindset, and a clean driving record are required. Comprehensive medical benefits, paid time off, 401K and competitive hourly pay provided.

responsibilities:

• Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles on dedicated regional routes within a radius of Ithaca, NY, ensuring on-time product drop-offs
• Transport, unload, and stage 50-pound drums and containers of industrial detergents, sanitizers, and specialty cleaning solutions to client facilities
• Utilize material handling equipment-including heavy-duty hand trucks, drum dollies, and lift gates-to safely maneuver freight from truck to customer storage areas
• Maintain strict adherence to all Department of Transportation (DOT), OSHA, and Hazmat handling, placarding, and transport safety regulations
• Complete daily delivery manifests, electronic proof-of-delivery documentation, and bill of lading (BOL) records accurately
• Provide professional, courteous front-line service to institutional, commercial, and agricultural clients on the assigned route

qualifications:

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class B) or active willingness to train, test, and obtain a CDL-B

Hazmat endorsement (or commitment to complete Hazmat certification upon hire; training and fees covered by employer)

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent practical work background

Valid driver's license

Physical ability to maneuver 50-pound drums using provided dollies and carts; ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted when necessary

Familiarity with local roads and regional transit within a 2-hour radius of the Ithaca area

Strong communication skills, punctuality, and commitment to workplace safety and chemical handling protocols
