Quality Engineer

location: Portage, Michigan job type: Contract salary: $45.16 - 52.00 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external teams to manage Non-Conformances (NCs), CAPAs, and root cause investigations.
• Monitor product and process quality KPIs, implementing Lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage supplier quality, oversee change management, and coordinate Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).
• Support internal and external audits, process validations (MSA), and risk management practices.
• Assist with manufacturing/product transfers between facilities, product holds, and field action execution.

qualifications:

0-2 years of experience in Quality or Regulatory Affairs with familiarity in ISO 13485, GDP, and GMP concepts.

Strong foundation in quality/engineering principles, including Risk Management, CAPA, statistical methods, and problem-solving.

Self-starter with excellent communication skills, a team-first mindset, and willingness to travel for multi-site collaboration.
