Embedded within the enterprise Project Management Office (PMO), this professional will bridge technical execution, business readiness, and rigorous project controls across Real Estate & Facilities, Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and IT. The ideal candidate will combine functional system deployment expertise with disciplined financial oversight-maintaining critical path schedules, managing monthly accrual-based accounting cycles, building detailed labor/vendor cost forecasts, and steering cross-functional stakeholders through formal phase-gate approvals.

location: Washington, Washington, D.C. job type: Contract salary: $60 - 70 per hour work hours: 9am to 5pm education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

Drive the end-to-end delivery of the IWMS implementation program from initiation and configuration through data migration, user acceptance testing (UAT), go-live, and operational handover.

Manage monthly accrual-based project accounting, tracking deliverable completions, reconciling contractor invoices, and ensuring strict fiscal compliance.

Develop, maintain, and submit monthly financial forecasts, modeling internal labor, external vendor burn rates, licensing, and contingency spends.

Build, baseline, and manage integrated master schedules, tracking critical path milestones, phase gates, and resource dependencies using EPPM Masterworks and Microsoft Excel.

Monitor performance against project baselines, producing comprehensive monthly executive status reports covering milestones, budget variance, and operational accomplishments.

Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (RAID), escalating critical roadblocks through structured PMO governance forums and steering committees.

Coordinate cross-functional activities across business stakeholders, IT architects, third-party system integrators, and software vendors to ensure scope and contract alignment.

Support organizational change management (OCM) and user adoption initiatives across corporate real estate and facilities teams.

Maintain structured program documentation, governance artifacts, and change control records using SharePoint and PMO repositories.

qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline; PMP or Project Controls certifications preferred.

5+ years of project management experience leading enterprise software implementations, with focused exposure to IWMS/CAFM platforms (e.g., TRIRIGA, Planon, Archibus, Maximo) or large-scale corporate facilities/real estate systems.

Proven track record in rigorous project controls, including hands-on experience managing accrual-based accounting, cost forecasting, earned value, and schedule baseline management.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex modeling, pivot tables, lookup functions, financial forecasting templates).

Hands-on experience utilizing enterprise PMO and scheduling tools, with prior exposure to EPPM Masterworks and SharePoint strongly preferred.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-vendor environments, system integrators, and executive stakeholders across matrixed corporate organizations.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing formal governance reports and executive steering presentations.
