Packaged/SaaS Application Engineer

job summary:

Join our enterprise data analytics consulting team supporting a leading Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance client. You will be responsible for designing and delivering robust, scalable Power BI dashboards and semantic models that turn complex cloud data lakehouse feeds into strategic business decisions.

responsibilities:

• Design, build, and optimize enterprise Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and dimensional models.
• Write complex DAX measures, KPIs, and time-intelligence logic for business-critical reporting.
• Connect, ingest, and validate data across enterprise sources including Azure Databricks and MS SQL.
• Administer Power BI workspaces, deployment pipelines, Row-Level Security (RLS), and scheduled refreshes.
• Collaborate in an Agile setting with business stakeholders and data engineers to deliver high-impact reporting solutions.

qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

3+ years of enterprise experience with Power BI development, semantic modeling, and advanced DAX.

3+ years of experience with MS SQL for data analysis, schema navigation, and validation.

1+ year of experience connecting and querying data from Azure Databricks or modern cloud data lakehouses.

Demonstrated experience utilizing modern AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude) to accelerate development and documentation.

Must be able to work full-time core business hours aligned to US Eastern Time (EST).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Domain experience within Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance or financial services.

Experience building Power BI Paginated Reports for regulatory or operational distribution.

Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake architectures, and Git/DevOps integration for Power BI.
