Mechanical Maintenance Support Technician

Schedule & Compensation

• Hours: Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM, with an expectation to be on call as needed.
• Salary: $44,179 - $59,758 per year (based on an hourly rate of $21.24 - $28.73).

Ideal Candidate Requirements

• Some vocational or community college education with related coursework, or equivalent practical experience.
• Highly mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills and basic electrical knowledge.
• Exceptional organization and flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to bend, reach, crouch, visually inspect machinery, and lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Capable of prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Strict adherence to safety protocols, including Lock Out Tag Out management and wearing required personal protective equipment (safety glasses, safety shoes, and hearing protection).

Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Duties

• Perform reactive and preventive maintenance on various machines and production equipment.
• Record, report, and implement solutions for damaged, worn, or broken parts, including ordering and installing replacements.
• Identify the root causes of unexpected equipment breakdowns and complete all appropriate documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked shop area, ensuring all parts, tools, and supplies are inventoried.
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular equipment maintenance utilizing the maintenance database system.
• Collaborate with plant engineers and product managers regarding required modifications for new products, make necessary alterations, and implement test runs.
