MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

salary: $52,000 - $79,000 per year shift: Second work hours: 5 PM - 1:30 AM education: High School

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Observe machinery in operation to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and determine root causes.
• Disassemble equipment to access, repair, or replace defective mechanical and electro‑mechanical components using hand and power tools.
• Inspect parts and materials for wear, defects, and dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Adjust and align mechanical systems and control instruments using measuring and diagnostic tools including multimeters, RPM gauges, levels, and straightedges.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control system issues using schematics, wire lists, and I/O documentation.
• Set up and operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders to fabricate or repair parts.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in a production environment required.
• strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, and electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics.
• Ability to accurately read micrometers to .0001 (ten‑thousandths) and rulers to 1/8 inch and decimal equivalents.
• Ability to identify parts and components used in manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of PLC control systems and digital electronic equipment.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
