Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance Supervisor Location: Kansas City, MO

Shift: Tues–Fri, 5PM – 5AM

Salary Range: 85k - 90k (DOE)

Job Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and train a crew maintenance technicians on both mechanical and electrical systems. • Assign and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules via CMMS. • Collaborate with night-shift production leadership to rapidly resolve breakdowns and drive down downtime metrics. • Manage parts inventory checkouts and send clean, clear shift-handoff emails to oncoming day teams. • Uphold OSHA and environmental safety standards across the facility floor. What We’re Looking For:
• Hands-on background as an industrial maintenance technician, multi-craft specialist, or millwright prior to leadership. • 2+ years of maintenance leadership experience. • Broad multi-craft troubleshooting skills across robotics, PLCs, automated cells, sensors, and mechanical drive systems. • Independent decision-maker who can solve technical challenges. Responsibilities

• Team Supervision & Coaching: Supervise a crew maintenance technicians on night shift; demonstrate hands-on repair techniques and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Preventive Maintenance (PM) Management: Assign, track, and verify completion of daily, weekly, and monthly PM work orders generated by the CMMS.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with off-shift production superintendents, production supervisors, and materials personnel to prioritize emergency repairs and minimize line disruptions.
• Downtime Tracking & Root Cause Analysis: Track shift downtime metrics and repair completion times to identify failure root causes and prevent recurring breakdowns.
• Shift Handover Communication: Compile and send detailed end-of-shift turnover emails outlining equipment status, completed work orders, parts consumed, and pending repairs for the incoming day shift.
• Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce OSHA regulations and plant safety standards; conduct routine hazard assessments, maintain safety data documentation, and investigate any incidents or injuries promptly.
