Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring industrial machinery and plant systems run safely, efficiently, and reliably. Working alongside senior mechanics and lead technicians, you will perform essential preventative maintenance, mechanical repairs, basic plumbing, and metal fabrication.

salary: $61,755 - $63,169 per year shift: Second work hours: 2 PM - 12:30 AM education: High School

Responsibilities

Mechanic B

• Perform basic plumbing on machinery and/or equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Weld and use a cutting torch, plasma cutter, cut-off saw, and machine-shop
• equipment.
• Report conditions encountered that may affect the operation of the equipment.
• Assemble and disassemble equipment.
• Ready equipment for shipment to other locations.
• Read and interpret basic machine diagrams and plant layout drawings.
• Recognize potential mechanical problems, plan a solution for repair, and implement the plan.
• Maintain plant fire system.
• Serve on plant emergency response team.
• Communicate, accept input, and follow instructions from Mechanic A or Lead Person.
• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure.

The essential functions of this role include:

• manual lifting up to 1lbs
• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
