Full Time Temp Warehouse QA

Our distribution client in Duluth is looking for a full-time, temporary employee to work 40 hours a week in their office as a Quality Tech. This person must have a minimum of 2 years of Quality Tech/Inspection experience inside of a production or warehouse facility. Ideally this person will have measured some type of metals/fasteners. MUST HAVE Computer Program/MS Office Skills and experience with measuring tools such as calipers and gages. Please upload resume to apply!

Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming inspection on items requiring quality inspection.
• Conduct outgoing inspection on items or orders requiring quality inspection.
• Prepare and submit accurate quality documentation to customers (e.g., MTRs, CoCs, FAIs, ISIRs, PPAPs).
• Act as the point person between customer and Thruway ‘s supply chain on branch quality issues.
• Escalate major quality issues to the CQM and GM for awareness and support.
• Issue, respond, complete and close internal & external CAPA’s as required, without un-due delay.
• Maintain calibrated and reference only equipment. Coordinate the calibration and verification of the equipment and maintain accuracy of Thruway’s Calibration Log.
• Assist the CQM and GM in training and ensure branch personnel follow the Thruway quality manual, procedures, work instructions, and safety processes. Escalate any non-compliance to the CQM and GM.
• Notify the CQM of any ideas for improvement, with suggestions and reasoning.
• Assist the CQM in preparing for and undergoing internal, customer, and certification body audits.
• Perform and document monthly 6S Audits. Distribute audit report to the CQM and GM.
• Identify potential or existing safety hazards and other opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate the completion of action items required to rectify any 6S audit findings.
• Assist with physical inventory and other warehouse functions as needed.
