Field Service Engineer

Join a local manufacturing leader with over 50 years of experience of excellence in their industry as a Field Service Engineer in Riverside, CA. This role is responsible for providing expert technical engineering support on complex machining issues. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of field service engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. This is a direct hire role with the opportunity for growth.

responsibilities:

• Provide top-tier troubleshooting support for field technicians on complex mechanical, electrical, and high-voltage vehicle issues.
• Investigate repeat field failures and warranty trends to design real-world engineering fixes, schematics, and design updates.
• Write clear Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), diagnostic guides, and step-by-step repair procedures.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Warranty teams to improve vehicle reliability and reduce customer downtime.
• Help create technical training materials, manuals, and videos to train field service technicians.
• Participate in customer site visits, prototype reviews, and field support campaigns to ensure smooth field operations.

qualifications:

3+ years of field service engineering experience in a electro-mechanical manufacturing environment

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical documentation
