Fabrication Welder

Immediate openings for Fabrication Welders with a minimum of 3 years experience. Must have the ability to weld all steels and alloys and be prficient with MIG, Flux Core, Stick, and minimum TIG knowledge. The Structural Steel and Platework fabricators and fitters must be able to fabricate, assemble, fit and install steel and metal components, apply knowledge of trigonometry, stock allowances for thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and physical properties to develop and plan a sequence of operations according to job orders, verbal instructions, and blueprints. Candidates must possess the ability to operate fabricating machines including plasma cutters, brakes, rolls, shears, and drill presses.

salary: $22 - $30 per hour shift: First work hours: 6:30 AM - 3 PM education: High School

Responsibilities

The Structural Steel and Platework fabricators and fitters must be able to fabricate, assemble, fit and install steel and metal components, apply knowledge of trigonometry, stock allowances for thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and physical properties to develop and plan a sequence of operations according to job orders, verbal instructions, and blueprints.

• Candidates must possess the ability to operate fabricating machines including plasma cutters, brakes, rolls, shears, and drill presses.

Candidates must be flexible with overtime and scheduling.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
