location: Richmond, Virginia job type: Contract salary: $67.19 - 74.36 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

The ideal candidate would have:

• Strong background in data management, data risk, data governance, or technology risk.
• Experience with data migrations/conversions
• Knowledge of data governance and control concepts
• Strong analytical judgement and ability to work effectively in evolving environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly with experience translating data concepts into risk assessments and/or executive summaries

qualifications:

Full End-to-End Data Migration: Supporting a major data integration effort, assessing risk around decommissioning legacy systems, and migrating historical data into the Capital One environment.

New Pipeline & Model Risk: Evaluating data risks introduced by new analytical pipelines, data consumption flows, and new data models.

Third-Party Vendor Onboarding: Assessing data risk, data access, and potential oversharing with a newly onboarded third-party vendor handling loan servicing for new business lines.

Data Quality & Governance: Oversight of data access controls, data quality validation, and independent validation of data mapping
