Custom Crate and Packaging Builder- 1st Shift

Our client is hiring a Wood Department Specialist for their manufacturing facility. In this role, you will use industrial pneumatic nail guns, and hand tools to construct heavy-duty wooden crates, custom skids, and timber export packaging. The position requires precise measurement using a tape measure down to fractional inches and the ability to accurately read structural assembly blueprints. Candidates must have prior framing, carpentry, or heavy construction experience to build sturdy packaging that protects high-value machinery during global transit. This is a full-time, steady indoor position offering cross-training on industrial machinery and long-term career growth.

salary: $18.99 - $19 per hour shift: First work hours: 6 AM - 4 PM education: High School

Responsibilities

• Building custom packaging crates
• Read blue prints, use measuring tapes
• Nail boards into place with industrial sized nail guns

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 10 hours at one time

Skills

• carpentry (1 year of experience is required)
• Construction (1 year of experience is preferred)
• Tape Measure Reading (1 year of experience is required)
• Blueprint Reading (1 year of experience is required)
• Industrial Nail Gun
