Construction Quality Specialist

location: Houston, Texas job type: Contract salary: $41.00 - 50.37 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors

responsibilities:

• Perform regional field process assessments, monitor construction procedures, and assist with PHMSA document audits.
• Analyze construction quality data from audit logs, nonconformance reports, and PHMSA reviews to drive process improvements.
• Review contract exhibits, vendor documentation, and specifications to ensure full compliance with DOT 192 and 195 regulations.
• Lead quality training for new team members, facilitate specialist meetings, and serve as a technical escalation point.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operational compliance, regulatory, pipeline integrity, and design teams.

qualifications:

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of pipeline or facility construction experience, including at least 1 to 3 years of field construction experience.

Thorough knowledge of pipeline construction codes, quality management principles, project management, and DOT 192/195 regulations.

Relevant industry certifications such as API 1169, CWI, NACE 1+, QMS, or Root Cause Analysis training preferred, alongside strong analytical skills.
