Construction Project Manager

job summary:

Our client, a well-established commercial general contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its team in the Hampton Roads, VA area. This opportunity offers the chance to lead large-scale commercial construction projects, overseeing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and overall project execution from start to finish.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience, strong financial and scheduling capabilities, and a proven track record managing projects valued at $10M or more.

responsibilities:

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion, ensuring schedule, budget, safety, and quality objectives are achieved.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating resources, subcontractors, and field operations.
• Oversee project financials, including budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and change order management.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Lead project teams, resolve challenges, and maintain accountability across all phases of construction.

qualifications:

5+ years of commercial construction project management experience with a general contractor, including projects valued at $10M or more.

Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, financial management, and overall project execution.

Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills with proficiency in construction management software.
