Class A CDL Driver

We are hiring a CDL Class A Driver to operate a truck out of our Opa Locka manufacturing facility. This position is primarily about the local movement of raw materials and finished goods. You will be responsible for the daily operation of the truck, ensuring all loads are securely tied down and protected for transport. This is a hands-on role that requires a driver who is comfortable with the physical aspects of flatbed work and is committed to maintaining a safe, efficient delivery schedule within the Miami area. salary: $45,000 - $46,000 per year shift: First work hours: 7 AM - 4 PM education: High School

Responsibilities

• Load Securement: Physically secure cargo using steel chains, ratchet binders, 4-inch straps, and winches to prevent shifting or loss during transit.
• Manual Tarping: Regularly lift, carry, and maneuver heavy-duty weather tarps (up to 60 lbs) to protect cargo from environmental elements.
• Safety Inspections: Conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checking tires, brakes, and the integrity of all tie-down equipment.
• Route Management: Navigate urban and highway routes throughout Hialeah and Greater Miami efficiently, utilizing GPS and atlas tools to ensure on-time delivery.
• Compliance & Logs: Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and delivery documentation in strict accordance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
