CAD Drafter

job summary:

Our client, Florida's premier custom homebuilder, is seeking a skilled Drafter/CAD Technician to join their highly collaborative Plans Department. In this vital role, you will use AutoCAD to maintain base plans, draft customized working floor-plans, and ensure the timely turnaround of accurate construction documents. The ideal candidate brings 2 to 3 years of AutoCAD experience (production homebuilding), and the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

location: Jacksonville, Florida job type: Permanent salary: $62,500 - 83,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: No Degree Required

responsibilities:

• Maintain efficient and timely turnaround of accurate construction documents
• Create specific lot fits for homes that are not standard and require modification
• Assist with the acquisition of plot plans, survey drawings, truss engineering, and energy calculations
• Maintain current plot files of our base plans for printing as required
• Archiving of plans as needed for call-up and retrieval

REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
• Minimum 2-3 years AutoCAD experience with home building
