  • Support export authorization reviews, license determinations, license exceptions/exemptions, re-export and in-country transfer reviews, government filings, and controlled technology access processes.
  • Contribute to audits, investigations, annual risk assessments, recordkeeping reviews, broker SOPs, duty savings initiatives, and corrective action plans.
  • Develop and deliver practical trade compliance training based on employee role, trade touchpoints, and regulatory risk.
  • Partner with Legal on contract language, with IT on access controls and screened web downloads, and with HR on technology control plans and non-U.S. person visitor reviews.
  • Stay current on applicable trade laws and regulations and translate changes into clear, actionable business requirements.

  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. import and export regulations, including HTS classification, country of origin, customs valuation, EAR, ITAR/USML, sanctions, restricted-party screening, antiboycott, export licensing, and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Experience supporting trade compliance programs in a manufacturing, industrial, technology, instrumentation, or multinational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, identify compliance risk, and drive issues to resolution with limited supervision.
  • Strong organizational agility, including the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and coordinate across legal, supply chain, finance, engineering, IT, HR, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and external counsel.
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical procedures, controls, training, and business guidance.
