Room Inspector

Job Summary:

The Hotel Room Inspector is responsible for ensuring all guest rooms and public areas meet the hotel's cleanliness, presentation, and brand standards before being released for guest occupancy. This position plays a key role in delivering an exceptional guest experience by conducting detailed room inspections, identifying maintenance concerns, and supporting the housekeeping team in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect guest rooms after housekeeping staff have completed cleaning assignments.
• Ensure rooms meet hotel and brand cleanliness standards.
• Verify proper placement and condition of linens, amenities, furniture, and room equipment.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items.
• Follow up on corrective actions to ensure deficiencies are resolved.
• Inspect public areas, hallways, restrooms, and hotel common spaces.
• Assist housekeeping staff during periods of high occupancy as needed.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and communicate findings to housekeeping leadership.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of guest room supplies and amenities.
• Provide feedback and coaching to housekeeping team members to improve quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Previous hotel housekeeping or inspection experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds throughout the shift.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Basic knowledge of hotel operations preferred.
