Blanchard Grinder Operator

Essential Functions Employees will be responsible for the set-up, cleaning and operation of Blanchard Grinding Machines, snag grinding equipment, hi-lo, etc. Ensures maximum production while adhering to quality and safety standards and procedures. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Set up and operate a variety of Blanchard Grinding Machines with a high level of skill and expertise. - Achieve production, quality and safety standards by observing equipment operating conditions and making adjustments to maximize output. - Detect malfunctions and make machine adjustments to achieve quality and production standards. Must be able to calibrate and use a variety of measuring devices. Notify appropriate personnel of problems beyond the scope of responsibility of the position. - Assist other operators as needed to meet production and quality standards. - Perform basic equipment maintenance in compliance with preventative/predictive schedules. - Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner. - Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions. Requirements: - Your own Tools. - The ability to use micrometers, scales, gauges and indicators. - Perform with or without supervision and take instruction. - You must be able to Set-up, maintain, operate and adjust Blanchard grinding machines to achieve tolerances of +/-.001", Flat, Square & parallel in .002. Work from part drawings, prints, PO Instructions and verbal specifications.
