Knowledge of Linux distributions, including user management, security hardening, and system troubleshooting
Understanding of iSCSI, Fibre Channel, Fibre Channel over Ethernet, NFS, SMB/CIFS, NVMe/TCP, NVMe/RoCE for efficient and performant data transfer
Experience with ext4, XFS, Btrfs - knowing when to use each based on performance needs

Qualifications

Required:

Proven experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting enterprise SAN, NAS, and unified storage platforms (e.g., NetApp, Dell PowerStore/PowerMax, Pure Storage), with deep knowledge of block and file protocols including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, and SMB/CIFS.
Proficiency in automating storage provisioning, lifecycle tasks, and configuration management using tools like Terraform and Ansible, backed by scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Strong hands-on experience integrating persistent volumes with container platforms, specifically leveraging Kubernetes Container Storage Interface (CSI) drivers, storage classes, and dynamic volume provisioning.
In-depth Linux systems administration skills (Red Hat/CentOS, Ubuntu), including multipath I/O configuration (DM-Multipath), volume managers (LVM), filesystem tuning (ext4, XFS, ZFS), and performance troubleshooting (I/O latency, IOPS, throughput).

Desired:

Experience designing and managing S3-compatible cloud and software-defined object storage solutions (e.g., AWS S3/EBS/EFS, MinIO, Ceph) across hybrid or multi-cloud enterprise footprints.
Hands-on experience embedding automated storage tests and provisioning workflows into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and managing storage declarations via GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD).
Familiarity with telemetry and observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) to track storage metrics, monitor SLA thresholds, and build automated forecasting models for capacity planning.
Industry certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, vendor storage credentials (e.g., NetApp NCDA,
