Original job description

Who we are:

As a global leader in digital infrastructure, QTS designs, builds and operates advanced data centers that support strategic AI, cloud and digital transformation initiatives. We are driven by a mission to connect the world for good and our people make it possible. Every single day, the creativity, dedication and genuine care for our communities are what push us forward and make this a truly special place to be. The Enterprise Application Administrator I provides day-to-day ownership and operational support for the QTS long tail application portfolio: the standard SaaS and business applications that sit outside the Tier 1 enterprise platforms but still carry QTS identities, licenses, and business data. Working within Enterprise Technology, Enterprise Applications, this role onboards applications into central administration, configures and maintains them, and supports their users, so that every application has an accountable administrator, a known license position, and a secure, auditable access lifecycle. This is an entry-level administrator role that works from established Enterprise Applications standards and runbooks, under the direction of the Manager, Enterprise Applications. It protects daily operations by closing ownership gaps in the portfolio and gives the business a single, reliable point of support for the tools it depends on.

What You Will Do: (Job Responsibilities)

Onboard new and transferred long tail applications into central administration using the Enterprise Applications intake standard: confirm the business owner, record the application in the Enterprise Application Master Tracker, validate data classification and access model, and complete the administrator handover checklist.
Perform tenant administration for assigned SaaS applications: maintain administrator roles, security and authentication settings, tenant-level configuration, and integration settings to QTS standards, keeping administrative access least-privilege and documented.
Manage licenses for assigned applications: track entitlements, assignments, and utilization; reclaim unused or inactive licenses; and provide accurate license and usage data to the Software Asset Management function ahead of renewals.
Execute user provisioning and deprovisioning through ServiceNow requests and, where enabled, single sign-on (SSO) and SCIM provisioning through Microsoft Entra ID, partnering with Enterprise Identity and Data Protection; support periodic access reviews with accurate user and role data.
Plan, test, and implement configuration changes through the QTS change management process, including vendor-driven releases and feature changes; maintain configuration records so every change is traceable and repeatable.
Serve as the primary support point for assigned applications: resolve incidents and service requests within agreed service levels, troubleshoot access and configuration issues, escalate to vendors when required, and publish knowledge articles that enable Service Desk first-contact resolution.
Produce recurring reporting on application health, user access, license utilization, ticket volume, and upcoming renewals, and keep Master Tracker records (owner, administrator, SSO status, renewal date, cost) complete and current.
Coordinate with vendors as the day-to-day technical contact: open and track support cases, monitor release notes, maintenance windows, and roadmap changes, and provide operational input to renewal and contract discussions.
Monitor SSO certificates, application registration secrets, and integration credentials for assigned applications, and coordinate renewal before expiration to prevent sign-in or integration outages.
Create and maintain administrator runbooks, standard operating procedures, and application records so that support is transferable and no application depends on a single person.
Support internal and external audit and customer-assurance activities (e.g., SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS) by producing access listings, change records, and configuration evidence for assigned applications.
Support application retirement and consolidation: remove access, export or archive data per retention requirements, terminate licenses, and update portfolio records.

What You Will Need to Be Successful: (Required Qualifications, Education, Experience, Certifications) · Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information systems, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. · Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in IT support, application support, or SaaS administration within a business environment. · SaaS administration: Hands-on experience administering at least one business SaaS application, including users, roles, permissions, and configuration settings. · Identity fundamentals: Working knowledge of single sign-on (SAML, OpenID Connect), multifactor authentication, and the joiner, mover, and leaver user lifecycle; exposure to Microsoft Entra ID. · Service management: Experience working in an ITSM ticketing tool (ServiceNow preferred), meeting service levels, and documenting resolutions. · License administration: Experience tracking license assignments and utilization and identifying licenses to reclaim. · Data and reporting: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for tracking, reconciling, and reporting operational data. · Controlled environment: Ability to work within change management, least-privilege access, and documentation requirements in an audited environment. · Communication: Clear, customer-focused written and verbal communication with business users and vendors.

Nice to Have: (Preferred Qualifications, Education, Experience, Certifications) · Experience in a data center, critical-infrastructure, hyperscale, colocation, or another high-availability operating environment. · Experience within a private-equity-owned or high-growth organization, including comfort operating with pace, ambiguity, and evolving priorities. · Experience configuring enterprise applications and SCIM provisioning in Microsoft Entra ID, and familiarity with a Microsoft-first environment (Microsoft 365, Entra, Intune) and ServiceNow-based workflow. · Experience administering a broad portfolio of business SaaS platforms (e.g., collaboration, e-signature, project management, design, and line-of-business tools). · Exposure to SaaS management or software asset management tooling and renewal processes. · Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Power Automate) to reduce repetitive administration tasks. · Experience building operational reports or dashboards in Power BI. · Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO/IEC 27001, PCI DSS, or SOX ITGC audit evidence requests. · Relevant credential(s) such as ITIL 4 Foundation; CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+; Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300) or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals; or vendor administrator certifications (e.g., ServiceNow Certified System Administrator).
