This is a potential to hire opportunity on 3rd shift.\ \ Mixer Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:\ - Mix batches of printing ink according to supervisor instructions and production requirements\ - Provide batch samples to Quality Control (QC) for testing and make adjustments as directed\ - Monitor and record batch temperatures as needed\ - Transport completed batches to designated mill staging areas\ - Properly dispose of used solvent and notify the supervisor when completed\ - Label solvent tubs used for mixer cleaning as Flammable and ensure they remain properly grounded\ - Perform routine mixer maintenance, including lubrication, and report mechanical issues to the supervisor\ - Change mixer blades as needed\ - Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including dust masks, gloves, aprons, and safety glasses\ - Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area\ \ Mixer Operator Requirements:\ - At least 3 months of related work experience\ - Basic math and computer skills\ - Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions\ - Reliable attendance and punctuality\ - Ability to work the assigned 3rd shift schedule and overtime as needed\ - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds\ - Willingness to learn mill machine operation and participate in TPM activities\ - Ability to work effectively as part of a team\ - High school diploma or GED preferred\ - Previous mixing, milling, or pump filter experience preferred\ - Experience in the printing ink industry preferred\ - Forklift experience; training may be available for candidates without experience\ - Experience with Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and equipment upkeep preferred
