Original job description

As passionate about our people as we are about our mission.

Why Join Q2? Q2 is a leading provider of digital banking and lending solutions to banks, credit unions, alternative finance companies, and fintechs in the U.S. and internationally. Our mission is simple: build strong and diverse communities through innovative financial technology - and we do that by empowering our people to help create success for our customers.

What Makes Q2 Special? Being as passionate about our people as we are about our mission. We celebrate our employees in many ways through our year-round Q2 ChangeMakers awards program and global moments of recognition and connection. We invest in the growth and development of our team members through ongoing learning opportunities, internal mobility, and meaningful leadership relationships. We also know that nothing builds trust and collaboration like having fun and giving back together. From company-wide volunteer days to events like our Q2 Homecoming Week - featuring learning, community service, and culture-building experiences - we create opportunities to connect, grow, and make an impact.

SUMMARY

Q2 is seeking a Project Manager to join our Integrated Services team. This role leads complex, date-driven client delivery projects and multi-workstream initiatives, with a focus on core conversions, bank and credit union acquisitions, platform migrations, and other multi-vendor implementations that run on fixed go-live dates and carry direct member impact. Integrated Services runs several of these engagements at the same time, so this role is built to lead them concurrently and to move between conversion work and other complex client delivery as demand shifts.

The Project Manager turns ambiguity into a plan, secures the right people and commitments, and keeps clients, vendors, and executives aligned to a shared date. The role orchestrates dependencies across clients, Q2 delivery and technical teams, product and program leaders, and third-party vendors who do not report to Q2; resolves resource contention when concurrent projects compete for the same teams; and sets test and acceptance standards, holding every mock, rehearsal, and cutover to them through a clear go/no-go decision. The ideal candidate advises client executives, including clients who are still building their own project governance, controls scope and cost when estimates are preliminary, and keeps status candid when a project is off track.

This is a delivery leadership role, not a technical one. The Project Manager works alongside implementation engineers, business analysts, data migration, and development teams who hold the technical depth, and is expected to understand concepts such as data mapping, test environments, and integrations well enough to ask the right questions, hold owners to their dates, and recognize risk early. The role requires direct experience leading at least one complex cutover (such as a core or platform conversion, merger or acquisition integration, large data migration, or major production go-live) through testing and release, and the judgment to know when to resolve an issue within the team, when to consult leadership, and when to escalate immediately. The ideal candidate also mentors emerging project managers and applies AI-enabled tools to improve planning, risk identification, and stakeholder communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs). Present findings and recommendations to management through clear and concise reports. Should be able to understand and design What-if models for project P&L and resource allocations
Process Improvement: Evaluate existing operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Develop and implement process improvement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and monitor their impact.
Project Management: Assist in planning and executing operational projects. Track project progress, identify potential issues, and ensure timely completion of milestones. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met. Coordinating any major transitions within the company, such as financial, technological, operational, and governance changes. Generate reports & dashboard related to Program health considering cost, efficiency, timelines etc.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in (relevant degree) and a minimum of 5+ years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience.
Project Management Methodology exposure preferred (PMP or PMI)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience building documentation and project plans using MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Good hands-on experience of MS Visio, Lucid charts etc.
Exposure to Jira, Salesforce, Qualtrics, PowerBI etc
Experience managing expectations and providing creative solutions to priority conflicts for high-profile clients.
Ability to develop new initiatives and processes that produce higher levels of customer satisfaction while reducing expenses and shortening project durations.
Capable of assessing project risks and related mitigation steps.
Client first attitude and commitment to satisfaction
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent people and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail, exceptional follow-through, the ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience with Salesforce (or other CRM tools) and SharePoint preferred.
Financial Services and enterprise software experience preferred.

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
