Operations Manager

Lead a Growing Nationwide LDAR Division

PROtect is looking for an experienced LDAR Services Manager to lead and support our growing Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) division. This is an opportunity to oversee a nationwide team, strengthen customer relationships, and help shape the continued growth of PROtect's LDAR services.

In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for LDAR clients across more than 40 locations nationwide. You'll work closely with company leadership, employees, and customers to oversee operations, develop business opportunities, maintain regulatory compliance, and continuously improve our service offerings.

We're looking for a proven leader with strong refinery experience, a solid understanding of environmental regulations, and the ability to balance day-to-day operations with long-term business growth.

What You'll Do

• Lead Division Growth: Develop and execute annual business plans, growth targets, and budgets to support the continued expansion of PROtect's LDAR services.

• Manage and Develop Teams: Establish hiring plans, set employee goals, provide coaching and mentorship, and oversee performance management and annual reviews.

• Oversee Nationwide Operations: Remotely manage traveling LDAR personnel across multiple locations and time zones, coordinating staffing, schedules, travel, and customer needs.

• Build Customer Relationships: Serve as the primary contact for LDAR clients, identify opportunities for additional services, and maintain strong working relationships.

• Manage Project Planning: Coordinate team meetings, monitor project status, and ensure resources are aligned with current and upcoming customer needs.

• Support Safety and Compliance: Oversee safety expectations, review Job Safety Assessments, coordinate required employee training, and ensure personnel meet client access requirements.

• Lead Estimating and Proposals: Oversee quote and estimate development and work with account managers to prepare customer presentations and proposals.

• Improve Processes: Lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for LDAR services.

• Provide Technical Support: Offer technical expertise and hands-on support when needed to meet customer requirements and support business growth.

• Coordinate Across Divisions: Work with other divisional leaders to identify opportunities, share resources, and support company-wide initiatives.

• Oversee Administrative Processes: Ensure accurate and timely completion of job sheets, time sheets, expense reports, and related operational documentation.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of professional refinery-related experience.

• Demonstrated management and leadership experience.

• Bachelor's degree preferred; engineering, science, or technical disciplines are a plus.

• Strong understanding of EPA and state-specific environmental regulations.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

• Familiarity with chemical, petrochemical, and industrial manufacturing processes preferred.

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and teams simultaneously.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently in a remote and office-based environment.

• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to identify business opportunities and develop client relationships.

• Willingness to travel to company locations and customer sites as needed.

Work Environment & Travel

The role primarily involves remote and office-based management, with periodic exposure to industrial and refinery environments.

Site visits may involve working around industrial equipment, varying weather conditions, noise, and other typical refinery and field-site conditions. Ability to meet applicable site safety and physical requirements is necessary.
