Lead Accountant III: On behalf of our Oil & Gas client, Procom is searching for a Lead Accountant III for a permanent role. This position is an onsite position at our client’s Houston, TX office.Lead Accountant III - Job Description: The Lead Accountant, Joint Venture Accounting is responsible for managing the financial aspects of joint venture arrangements, ensuring the optimization of financial performance and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial statements, and fostering positive relationships with partners.Lead Accountant III - Responsibilities: • Prepare and review monthly financial statements and support schedules for internal management and partners • Prepare, review, and approve monthly journal entries, including joint venture billings • Conduct research and analysis for ad hoc questions or requests from partners • Interact with various internal groups such as Business Development, Treasury, and Reporting • Prepare annual budgets for internal management and individual joint ventures • Coordinate cash calls and cash distributions with partners • Prepare and review quarterly and annual FERC Form 3 and Form 2 reports • Ensure compliance with SOX controls and related reporting requirements • Provide guidance to analysts as needed • Engage in special projects as required Lead Accountant III - Mandatory Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting • 6+ years of related experience • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization • Excellent organization, planning, and analytical skills Lead Accountant III – Nice-to-Have Skills: • CPA certification • Experience with joint venture accounting • Familiarity with FERC reporting requirements • Strong problem-solving skills • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Lead Accountant III – Assignment Length: This is a contract position.Lead Accountant III - Start Date: ASAP.Lead Accountant III - Assignment Location: Houston, TX, onsite.
