The Regional Logistics Manager is primarily responsible for monitoring the overall success of their Regional Market and mentoring the Logistics Coordinators within their region. This position will focus on the operational transactions that the team is responsible for and ensure timely completion of work and overall achievement of team goals. In addition, the RLM will collaborate with other members of the Brokerage team, National Sales and Total Pallet Management organization to ensure effective implementation of the goals and objectives of the Company.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Track the progress of regional team’s transactional goals; i.e. closing orders and follow up.
• Assist in service escalations, addressing customer complaints. Discuss action plans for service improvement with low performing partners.
• Source and book deliveries with partner network within the region.
• Manage Order Workflow, including the research and review of count variances.
• Assist in partner negotiations, including pricing changes, especially for store and LTL accounts.
• Process pricing changes for partners as necessary through Linking Process.
• Communicate service delays or cancelations with customer contacts.
• Track regionwide inventory availability and provide visibility to larger team.
• Communicate pricing information such as increases due to market, or current rates to customer contacts as needed to promote efficiency.
• Discuss AR related issues with Partner Network as it pertains to service performance.
• Develop methods to achieve team goals using unconventional thinking.
• Communicate upcoming market or staffing issues to the Director, Brokerage Operations and assist in developing resolutions to those issues.
• Funnel service-related concerns to SCM for discussion in diversifying partner network.
• Provide support to LCs in their region regarding training requests or communicate those requests to the Director, Brokerage Operations.
• Provide LC support to their own book of customers.
• Responsible for monitoring the service completed by Partners within the region to comply with customer SLAs.
• Manage performance of LC’s within region.

Skills/Qualifications:

• 12mo plus in Logistics Coordinator position (within the corresponding Region preferred).
• Bachelors Degree preferred, but not required.
• Must demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills.
• Some experience with negotiation is a plus.
