Part-Time Recreation & Event Setup Associate

Part-Time Recreation & Event Setup Associate Pay: $20–$21 per hour Hours: Approximately 25–28 hours per week

We are seeking an energetic, dependable, and customer-focused individual to join an active 55+ community. With activities happening every day, this community offers a “cruise on land” experience!

This position works closely with the Lifestyle Director to prepare rooms for activities, assist residents, and support daily community operations. This is a physically active role requiring frequent movement of tables, chairs, and event equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down tables, chairs, and room arrangements for clubs, committees, meetings, and events.
• Prepare activity spaces according to the daily schedule.
• Welcome residents at the front desk and assist with check-in.
• Answer general questions and notify the appropriate staff when residents need assistance.
• Work closely with the Lifestyle Director to support activities and events.
• Help keep common areas organized and ready for use.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude, patience, and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to interact respectfully and professionally with older adults.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Comfortable performing frequent physical setup and breakdown duties.
• Dependable attendance and ability to begin work at 6:00 a.m.
• Availability to work weekends and adjust hours based on community events.

Anticipated Schedule

• Friday: 6:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday: 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
• Monday: 6:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
• Tuesday and Wednesday: Off.

Shifts include a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Friday and weekend hours may fluctuate based on event needs.
