Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator Location: Tempe, AZ Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire Shift: 1st & 2nd Shifts Available (Monday – Friday, overtime as needed) About the Opportunity PrideStaff Tempe is partnering with an established distribution and manufacturing facility in the East Valley to find dependable, safety-focused Forklift Operators / Warehouse Associates. Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and hand trucks to stage, load, and unload materials.
- Inbound & Outbound Handling: Verify incoming shipments against bills of lading (BOLs), inspect products for damage, and prepare outbound freight for carrier pickup.
- Order Picking & Staging: Use RF handheld scanners to pick orders accurately, palletize items, and wrap pallets for safe transport.
- Inventory Control: Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with stock replenishment across designated warehouse racks.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant work area by clearing aisles and removing discarded packing debris.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 1+ years of recent warehouse experience, including at least 6 months of verifiable forklift operation (Sit-Down, Stand-Up, or Reach Truck).
- Certifications: Prior forklift certification preferred (in-house recertification provided).
- Tools: Familiarity with RF barcode scanners and basic warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for the duration of an 8- to 10-hour shift.
- Reliability: Punctual, strong safety mindset, and reliable transportation to the Tempe area.
