PRINT MACHINE OPERATOR

Our Partner operates a fast-paced office environment that demands the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism in safeguarding client and project information.

SUMMARY:

Operators help set up and operate various printing equipment. This position focuses on Insert Machines for commerical/mass mailing. The expectation is that through teamwork, each task is completed with the highest possible level of accuracy and timeliness. SCHEDULE: Mon - Fri 8 am -4:30 pm ** This position has a work schedule that frequently changes due to work volume. OT and weekends are frequently needed. Flexibility with schedule is highly valued.** PAY RATE: up to $21.00/hr based on experience

DUTIES

• Responsible for machine set-up and operation following guidelines as set in the job ticket.
• Efficiently operate inserters, with quality being a key component of successful operation.
• Ensure jobs are balanced using the appropriate balancing process.
• Apply correct postage rates via work orders and USPS postage rates.
• Troubleshoot inserter issues and involve support technicians as needed
• Maintain set quality standards and company SOP’s
• Read and understand the work order completely.
• Visually inspect all work order materials against job specifications and report all problems to supervisor.
• Document inventory usage and waste
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of the print equipment and print operations area
• Cross-train and provide assistance in other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in commercial print or mailing industry using Bluecrest High-Speed electronic inserters is highly preferred.
• Proven mechanical ability and aptitude with close attention to detail
• Pallet Jack operation; move pallets
• Knowledge of print and postal standards, as well as experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer knowledge is required.
