Maintenance Helper

PRIDESTAFF is currently seeking a motivated MAINTENANCE HELPER to join the maintenance team for a manufactuing company in Lockport, IL. This role is perfect for someone entry-level but mechanically inclined, looking to get their foot in the door in a maintenance position.

1ST SHIFT 7AM-3PM

$17 PER HOUR

This is a TEMP-TO-HIRE position!

Job Description:

• The role of the Maintenance Helper is to assist with repairs to all the company’s assets when required
• Assure press machines and equipment are working properly and safely
• Repair equipment /structure as required
• Assist in creating a safe working environment for all employees

Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance duties to all equipment & facility as directed by Maintenance Manager
• Keeping equipment clean and in safe operation, mechanically, electrically, and hydraulically
• Recognize resources for the department as well as others
• Thoroughly complete work orders as upper management assigns them
• Recognize maintenance concerns and safety issues, when recognized create work orders
• Keep work areas clean and safe
• Follow procedures in accordance with the SQF system
• Follow work instructions, company policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Maintain good attendance
• Mechanical aptitude
• Willingness to be a team player and service their internal customers
• Have a personal tool box with basic tools for the job requirement
• Familiar with injection molding /support equipment
• Trained on the use of Forklift
• Trained on use of overhead crane

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to crouch, kneel, and reach
• Willing to be on your feet 8 to 9 hours a day
• Able to work in non-air-conditioned injection molding manufacturing environment
