Reporting directly to the Assistant Controller, this role oversees project cost accounting across active ground-up developments and capital improvement projects. You will play a critical role in job-cost tracking, vendor payment workflows, budget variance analysis, and operational reporting to ensure projects remain on budget and financially compliant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Cost Accounting: Manage high-volume accounts payable for active construction and real estate development projects; ensure accurate coding and proper approvals.
  • Budget Tracking & Variance Analysis: Maintain detailed job-cost ledgers, track budget changes, evaluate cost variances, and ensure proper documentation in alignment with internal controls.
  • Vendor & Contract Management: Coordinate timely payments to general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors while resolving invoice disputes or discrepancies promptly.
  • Reconciliations & Reporting: Assist leadership with monthly project reconciliations, work-in-progress (WIP) tracking, and custom financial reporting for executive reviews.
