AutoCAD Drafter

AutoCAD Drafter Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled AutoCAD Drafter to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics for a variety of projects, including civil, mechanical, and construction designs. This role offers an opportunity to work on innovative projects utilizing advanced CAD software and drafting techniques. The position requires a strong understanding of drafting standards, 2D and 3D modeling, and collaboration with engineers and architects to develop accurate representations of design concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D drawings, schematics, and plans using AutoCAD and other CAD software tools.
• Create 3D models and visualizations with SketchUp, NavisWorks, Revit, or MicroStation as needed for project presentations.
• Assist in designing civil layouts using Civil 3D and structural components with Revit or SolidWorks.
• Prepare construction documents, technical schematics, and assembly instructions adhering to industry standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design requirements and ensure accuracy.
• Review drawings for compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety regulations.
• Maintain organized digital files and version control for all drafting documents.
• Support revisions and updates based on client feedback or project modifications. Experience
• Proven experience in CAD drafting within civil, mechanical, or construction industries.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, SolidWorks, and 2D animation is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and schematics development.
• Experience working on construction projects or infrastructure layouts is preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce precise and high-quality work under deadlines.
