2nd Shift CNC Machinist

PrideStaff is searching for a 2nd shift CNC Machinist with Swiss Lathe experience for our client, a manufacturer of industrial and aerospace components.

Some of the duties of our chosen CNC Machinist will include; performing setups, troubleshooting machining issues, running jobs, performing in process inspections, and assisting junior team members as needed.

Our ideal candidate will have significant experience with multi-axis turning centers. Opportunities for advancement are available for motivated candidates.

Responsibilities:

• Setup and operate swiss lathes (e.g., Star, Citizen, etc)
• Troubleshoot machining issues including program editing, offset adjustments, and process improvement recommendations.
• Assist team members with CNC machining issues.

Requirements:

• MUST be able to work 2nd shift
• Set up and operate multi-axis live tool turning centers
• High degree of comfort in interpreting engineering drawings
• Prior experience producing complex, close tolerance parts
• Understanding of machine troubleshooting and maintenance requirements
• Fluency in English
• Ability to pass background check/drug screen
• Experience with Swiss style CNC lathes a PLUS
• Familiarity with 5S and lean manufacturing methodologies a PLUS
• Conversational Spanish a PLUS
