What You'll Do as an Occupational Therapist
As a PRN Occupational Therapist, you'll provide skilled occupational therapy services to residents in a skilled nursing setting.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Evaluate residents to identify functional limitations, strengths, and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement individualized, goal-driven occupational therapy treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based interventions to improve independence with activities of daily living.
• Recommend adaptive strategies and equipment to promote resident safety and functional performance.
• Monitor progress and modify treatment plans based on resident needs and outcomes.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on techniques that support independence and safety.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and applicable payer requirements.
• Promote compassionate, resident-centered care throughout the rehabilitation process.
What We're Looking For
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Ohio Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
• A compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach to care.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
• Previous skilled nursing or geriatric rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required.
