Position Overview

The Inside Sales Representative will support daily sales operations by handling customer inquiries, processing orders, coordinating with vendors, and providing exceptional service via phone and email. This role also includes light warehouse duties and hands-on product training.

Key Responsibilities

1. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries via phone and email
2. Provide accurate product information and guide customers through order selection
3. Process customer orders using QuickBooks, vendor portals, and internal order systems
4. Prepare and update documents using the Microsoft Office Suite
5. Work closely with vendors to check availability, pricing, and lead times
6. Support warehouse operations including packaging and shipping orders (must be able to lift up to 70 lbs)
7. Maintain organized sales records and assist with inventory coordination
8. Receive on-the-job product training to build product knowledge and support customer needs
9. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction

Qualifications

1. Prior inside sales, customer service, or distribution experience preferred (MRO or industrial sales a plus)
2. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
3. Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting/order management systems preferred
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
6. Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments
7. Positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service
