Certificated Substitute

Job Summary

Certificated substitutes will be compensated, fee waived or reimbursed for the following:

• Keenan Training May submit a timesheet for the training time after working at least 10 hours in an identified position. Training completed this school year will be compensated.
• Fingerprinting costs This cost will be waived if printed by PCOE/PUSD
• Physicals Fees will be waived or reimbursed for specific classifications up to $120 and complete at least 10 hours in a substitute position
• TB testing Free if administered by a certificated school nurse

Requirements / Qualifications -Three references -30 day sub permit which can be applied for directly with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) at www.ctc.ca.gov -teaching credential in any subject that is not expired The following items are needed in order to apply for a 30 day subbing permit from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) -a BA or higher from an accredited college or university. Transcripts will need to be uploaded when applying for a substitute permit. -fingerprints for CTC at a cost of $49. No additional fee if the fingerprinting is done at our District Office. The 41-LS form can be found on the CTC website at www.ctc.ca.gov or can be requested from the Human Resources office. Our office will need a copy of the form after you complete your prints.
